Sad news on the blogosphere tonight

Author and editor Nick Wilford lost his stepson Andrew over the weekend. Those of us who know Nick and contributed to the anthology for Andrew are especially feeling the loss.

Kyra Lennon is taking donations for the family via Paypal (kyralennon [at] gmail [dot] com).

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Nick.

  2. Thank you for putting this very sad news up. I am doing as much as I can in the background. In such moments of pain, this community pulls together and that's profound.

    In kindness,

    Gary

  3. The loss of one we love is a hurt unlike any other. In my daily letter to Myra last night I told her to be on the lookout for a very special soul and to let him know that the writing and blogging community is standing with his family in every way we can. I'm certain he'll get the message.

  11. I'm so sorry for their loss. I just attended a family friend's funeral yesterday and one of the messages I took away from it was this, "To be absent from the body is to be present with God." Once we leave our physical bodies, being present with God is our greatest reward.
